I have a flow that runs every month. I’d like the flow run name to always include the name of the month like “My Flow - July”. What’s the best way to do this?

That should just be the <https://docs.prefect.io/api/latest/tasks/prefect.html#renameflowrun|RenameFlowRun> task plus using the date from context

Will that work for flows that are scheduled in the future?

Ah you would need to hit the graphql API but you can do it with the client like <https://github.com/PrefectHQ/prefect/blob/f3c8b8150897997372339a4690a2de055fd40717/src/prefect/tasks/prefect/flow_run_rename.py#L61|this>. You would need a script though
