And since I'm already asking: is the way I'm writing my flow correct? Or is it dispatching tasks to a different task runner cause I'm not calling submit? If the latter, how can I use `map` with a custom task runner?

It looks correct. `map` ends up submitting to your flow's task runner, so your mapped tasks in this flow should run in a `SequentialTaskRunner` .
