Does anyone know if we should be able to click through a task run and see it's log? Currently it seems the log is only on the flow run level?

Correct, there is no task run page yet

So in the (near?) future we should be able to look into the log of a single task within a flow run ( to identify why it crashed for example)?

We'll definitely try to make this troubleshooting experience as easy and seamless as possible, but can't promise what this will look like and whether the logs will be displayed on the task run page If this is a critical piece of information for you, I could ask the product and UI team

The use case is indeed focussed on debugging. Suppose we have a flow that extracts a large dataset and for each dataset we need to collect additional data. Sometimes this individual task fails and we would like to be able to easily focus on the individual task that failed and potentially replicate the failure outside of the orchestrated flow. This will allow effective bug fixing or chasing outside parties with bugs on their side.

Sending alerts on failure with information on why this task run failed (type of error or error traceback) will be supported for sure.
