I am learning data engineering in a geospatial context. I am keen to find a job once I finish the course (Spatial Lab by Matt Forrest). Does anyone here have examples of jobs in the geospatial economy that use Prefect? (CAD, LiDAR, mobility data, precision agriculture, analytics, earth observation, GEOINT/surveillance, drones etc etc)

I am a geospatial expert that works as a BE developer since 5 years because geospatial jobs are not that common, at least in eastern Europe. 😅 At the same time i feel that the geospatial field is growing so i hope that you'll be able to put your knowledge into practice! 🙂

Nice to meet you too. I am not working in the geospatial field unfortunately but i think Prefect would be very suitable for any kind of ETL jobs, which require scheduling and orchestration.

Hey Wilfred - we don’t have any job offers available - but we definitely use Prefect in a geospatial context. We use it for earth observation, specifically to run AI models over large aerial imagery datasets
