Hey, does anyone knows how to roll back from the new flow run UI? I find the new interface very confusing and would like to keep the old version. is there a way to switch back?

Can you say more about the confusion you’re feeling? Want to make sure we can shape this new page so it’s more intuitive.

When the flow runs it should be as easy as possible to focus on the most important part, i.e. what task has failed and why. In the old UI I can select failed tasks in a top bar and can see all logs for them in the main page. Now even if I unselect all except failed and sect only tasks I still can't get list of all failed tasks I can click on a failed task on the flow window (not ideal if you have a lot of tasks), but then the logs are in the very tiny window at the very button of a subsection so you can't even see full trace
I like how the main page shows you all failed flows and you can focus on them first. I think on the flow run page it should be the same, how quickly I can find the failed tasks and can I see the log quick enough to fix it
I'd say the old tabs layout was easier to navigate as all was on the same level horizontally

Just wanted to chime in here and mention that I also prefer the old flow run page, and would prefer it remain available
But to answer your question @Kirill Egorov, I can flip between the two under app.prefect.cloud/my/previews

🙇 for the feedback (genuinely). My sense so far is that there are some jobs that got harder — but nothing that seems insurmountable to account for and make easier in the current design. Is there something deeper I’m missing?

I’m not sure what is your point. The old design was a right fit to solve the user problem in the best possible way. The new design is not. Can you still solve the problem with the new design? Yes. Is this the best possible way. As this is new design the question is why? I can’t see what user problem new design solves but at the same time it makes solution worse then it used to be
a
oh yeah happy to clarify
I can’t see what user problem new design solves
yeah I think that’s the issue. The old view made a whole bunch of workflows harder to observe and understand what was going on. We’re trying to work on this page so make a larger family of workflows easier to observe. From what you’ve shared we definitely missed the mark for the specific species of workflows you’re building — so trying to make sure that we iterate on what we have to make sure you still have a good experience. Does that make sense?

What we have done before is had a call with one of your UI developer and walked through the use cases. I’m happy to do it again.

One thing we have noticed …. When you expand the nested entries to see in detail what has happened (e.g. a task within a flow), the UI now un-expands those details (thus hiding it) every time there is a new log entry or other event. (As far as I can tell, that’s what is happening, but very happy to be corrected!). So if you’ve a flow running for a long time, then you can’t inspect the detail until it’s ended.
