Env: Mac Pro - Latest Chrome
recreation steps...
1. leave a tab open overnight
2. return to said tab in the morning

I’ve had similar issues with the dash and docs in Firefox for a long time. Any time the pages are open overnight things break and need a full refresh in the morning.

Hi @eli and @Brian Mesick - is this with Prefect Cloud or Server?

Would you mind posting your system specs? Operating System, Browser (including version), memory, etc

If I recall correctly, there's a memory leak in one of the libraries that the UI uses

MacOS Catalina
Firefox 87.0 (64-bit)
16GB RAM
Next time it happens I’ll run dev tools on it and see what pops up.

You're correct @Spencer - at least as far as we know; we've made several improvements to overall performance of the tools we have more direct control over. Either way we'll continue to investigate this so I appreciate the report!

the UI simply uses up all the RAM eventually. MacOS Chrome and Windows. I have a 32G machine here at home and I left it running over a long weekend and it was a bit sluggish when I came back, with Chrome using 18G of RAM. 🙂
