I was scrolling through the issues on GitHub and found this one: https://github.com/PrefectHQ/prefect/issues/4379. Is there any update on whether this will be picked up soon?

Hi @Matthias Roels! Unfortunately no specific timeline yet for this item. Feel free to chime in on the issue though.

Will see what we can do πŸ˜„

Hrm, I wonder what'd be involved in doing this? I'm guessing I'd have to know way more about how GCP works? =D

I think @Matthias Roels, would be way more informed than me so let’s see what he has to sayh

Initially, I thought it would be translating the
ecs
agent and run_config to GCP. When researching deeper into the specifics, I discovered that there is no Python sdk for GCP's cloud run 😞. There is the
glcoud run
CLI that one could use instead (and is relatively easy to use). But I don't know enough details on how Prefect agents/run_configs work to have a clear view on implementation...
And then there is another issue: where to run the agent? If I remember correctly (I can't find a resource anymore), the limitations of GCP cloud run is that you cannot launch cloud run containers so deploying the agent on cloud run is not an option. But as I mentioned before, this is to be confirmed πŸ˜„.
