Hello, I was wondering if anybody has ever set up prefect to work with an on-prem server? Can you still schedule tasks?

Hey @Kurt Rhee, yep we have a lot of people running purely on prem. Look into Prefect Server . You would spin up Prefect Server on your own infrastructure and then that would orchestrate your flows. Prefect Cloud is the managed offering version. Also, just a note because some users don’t know but you get 10000 free task runs per month in Cloud, which is more than enough to get started with. If you do have work privacy stuff that prevents you from using Cloud, then Server is the option for you.

@Kevin Kho What's the difference between using on-prem prefect server free tier and on-prem prefect server enterprise? Would the latter have all the features of Cloud but just on-prem?

Ah I'm just thinking about the clients that want all features of Cloud but, like you said, have work privacy stuff that prevents from using Cloud (I can't come up with things that belong to this category off the top of my head) then they would choose the below option

Oh yeah this is the full Prefect Cloud functionality on an on prem deployment. Think like no internet connection.
