We're trying out the prefect cloud. How do folks handle pipelines in different environments (dev, staging, production)? do folks use teams, tenants, project etc for this?

Using tenants to differentiate between environments is very common. Users who are on a lower than Enterprise Prefect Cloud plan often use projects for that from what I’ve seen so far.

got it. How do you create a new tenant in the prefect cloud? the api seems to only work for prefect server

@Imran Qureshi you need to contact sales@prefect.io - the number of tenants or adding new ones must be included in your Enterprise plan

It won’t work for Prefect server actually and server is single tenant.

so having more than 1 tenant is only supported in the Enterprise plan I guess?

Yeah, but you pay for them separately and need to go to Sales for that
