Hello there! I see an AWS ECS Agent and a GCP Vertex agent but, in my use case, a GCP Cloud Run agent would be the perfect fit. Is there such a thing or do you have plans for it in a near future?

Hey @Gabriel Milan, there is no such thing and this is not plan around this for the near future at least. You can run non machine workflows with Vertex though

(I am also interested in a Cloud Run agent as well so it probably exists in the not near but still sometime future)

@Kevin Kho the thing with Vertex is that CPU is accounted hourly and most of my workflows lasts less than a minute. is there a workaround for that?

I wouldn’t know. I tried looking for info but couldn’t. You may need to ask GCP on that. Their calculator was not helpful. The pricing of these services is rough.

Probably short tasks was not the intended use case for Vertex. I agree with @Gabriel Milan that for Prefect most common use cases (unless everyone is using it for ML) it would make way more sense to have a Cloud Run agent than a Vertex one

@Gabriel Milan@Sergi de Pablos@Kevin Kho I contacted GCP billing support about the hourly billing question and they told me it's billed by the second. The pricing on the Google Vertex page is hourly but the SKUs they bill are the normal compute engine SKUs.
