Hi everyone, I have a question regarding Prefect Core ~ Prefect Orion. Is it possible to use Prefect Core’s tasks inside Prefect Orion ? Meaning can I use the DBT Task library for core in Orion.

Unfortunately you cannot, but tasks from the task library will be ported to Orion in the next months. The

DbtShellTask

is essentially a subprocess triggering the dbt commands like

dbt run

, and you could trigger those in Orion running Python subprocess. I'm sure if you wait a bit, you'll see the DBT tasks being ported to Orion with high priority since this is a very commonly used integration
