Hello Prefect Community! I am trying to understand a behavior we recently noticed on Prefect Cloud. When we were trying to suspend a run from the UI, it also deleted the entire deployment. Is this expected? Anyone else had a similar issue?

That sounds really odd and not expected. Can you give any more information about what happened?

We had an issue with an ETL due to an upstream dependency. So an engineer tried to suspend the ETL from the UI until the upstream is fixed. When we tried to re-trigger it , the deployment was missing and the audit log shows a deletion. Which was suspicious because no intentional deletion was made.

That seems very strange. The audit log should show which user (or resource) made the deletion. But suspending a flow run should not delete a deployment.

We probably need to schedule a session with our rep to debug this. I reached out to our account rep. Have a call setup next week.

That sounds good! Some accounts have data retention policies so make sure you screenshot or copy your logs to make sure they can best help you.
