Ah, the joys of security. It seems Prefect Cloud does offer the option to sign in using a username and password, in addition to single sign-on providers like Google or Microsoft. However, the specifics of staying signed in might depend on your browser settings and how it handles cookies. 

If you're having trouble with the magic link, you might want to try a few things:
- Make sure you're using the correct URL for Prefect Cloud 2: <https://app.prefect.cloud/>
- If you're having difficulty accepting an invitation, try creating an account first using the email associated with the invitation, then accept the invitation.
- Check your spam folder if you're not receiving the password reset email.
- Try a hard refresh of your browser with Cmd+Shift+R.
- Try using a different browser. Prefect actively tests against Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
- Clear your recent browser history/cookies.

If you're still having issues, it might be a problem with a bad service worker. But that's a whole other can of worms. And trust me, you don't want to open that can. It's full of worms.
