Hey @Dhruv, sorry if the new theme isn't your style. There are a few advantages that it has that I'd like to call out for folks. One is that the more neutral background palette provides better general text contrast, especially for links. The strong blue tones washed out links in dark mode a lot. With this change comes a very thorough implementation of custom design tokens that carry semantic meaning. This allows the UI to maintain a more consistent use of color throughout, and simplifies decision making when building features. When needing a divider line, instead of choosing 1 out of 10 colors from 5 available gray palettes, there's just a
--p-color-divider
color token. So in house or open source UI contributions can get approved faster and be more cohesive by default. We can now better reserve color space for things like making Events purple. Previously, we had a lot of blue on blue on blue, which had a nice monochromatic aesthetic, but made it tough to introduce other colors and use them to distinguish mental model paradigms. We hope to iterate more on this. We'll continue to evolve the colors and try to keep things cool and functional. This was a big broad change, so as usual please feel free to call out anything that looks broken or janky and we'll get after it as best we can. I appreciate any and all takes on the UI, the more feedback the better!

As a color blind, I am very "neutral" about the new changes. #pun

@Rajvir Jhawar Our intent is to reduce the number of icons. At the moment we have a lot and many are borrowed from unrelated heuristics (the map pin icon for deployments, etc). As we cleanup the UI more and improve labeling, the hope is that the iconography that remains will be really useful. It'll take getting used to for the time being. Certainly if we're finding that way finding is continuously negatively impacted, we'd roll icons back in but with more intentional/distinct design for each.

i preferred the previous color scheme. i feel like the search functionality has been improved though
it would be nice if the team provided support for the old color scheme too (as a separate theme)

I take it back. Just updated to 2.12.1. The new UI look wonky. xD
I think I blame the side bar just floating with no clear cut boundries
