Hi all, What happens if, for some reason, the connection between a worker/agent and the prefect Cloud API is lost for 30 minutes - 1 hour? Would the agent be able to keep a schedule of what it needs to do to keep critical jobs running? What are the possibilities here?

Hey @Arnaud! The worker/agent wouldn’t be able to run any work while disconnected from the Prefect API, but it would pick up and run any work that it missed once it reconnects.

Hey @alex. Thanks for the reply and yes, I understand the behavior. Let's say the company I work for really relies on getting a job done and being 15-30 minutes late is already too much. Have you ever thought of an alternative for very critical scripts to be sure that they are executed even if a connection between prefect cloud and the agent is lost?

We do not currently have a feature like that on our roadmap, but feel free to submit and issue so that we can consider and discuss it further!
