It seems that the PREFECT_HOME environment variable specifies the local Prefect directory for configuration files, profiles, and the location of the default Prefect SQLite database. By default, it's set to

~/.prefect

on your system (source). While there isn't explicit information about setting PREFECT_HOME to a shared drive location, you should be able to change the value of PREFECT_HOME to point to a shared drive location. Just make sure that the shared drive is accessible and has the appropriate permissions for Prefect to read and write files.
